No Rear Sag Empty No Rear Sag

Meself and Dapper where measurin my bilkes sag last night, and noticed there is no sag on the rear. The shock is fully extended. It doesnt even move with the bikes own weight.
I know the back of the bike is light enough, but is this normal on a race RVF to have no sag??

The preload must be fully wound up. Which means you'll need a stiffer spring to allow for your weight and give you the right sag. Thats a standard shock in there, designed for the Jap market only. So even new that spring was wrong for your weight. Those shocks can be rebuilt I think. New spring is around 80euro.
That trip to sligo is cancelled this week, so I'll be around sun or mon eve if you want me to have a look.

Yeah minter. I have a spare back shock, so i can send one away to be done.
Is it true that the rear shock out of a cbr600rr will fit the RVF??
