When is to late to start
Well fellas, great website, its been a while since i was on a bike 4 years (now 24 yr old), always wanted to get into racing not competitive but just track days and that, sold the bike to due college, a 40 mile drive seems more attractive in a car than on a bike. Is it expensive to start out

Welcome.
Its only as expensive as you let it be.
Yes it ads up after a while, and there always something that has to be bought but it is worth it. I've been riding the roads commuting and messing for a good few years now and i've never been able to let loose on a bike like i do on the track. I'd strongly advise getting a bike and doing a track day, even a half day. You'll understand after the first session and you'll be hooked.

I second that and its never too late to start. There is always a nice group of lads at track days and racing .People will help each other out.
As for cost, people always find money for their hobbies, drinking and smoking is more expensive. You would get a track bike for a grand upwards and you pick up warmers, paddock stands, tyres etc as you go along.Good luck with it.

for once i have to agree with dealer, the biggest outlay is buying the bike and the gear, which can all be bought cheap if you shop around.ebay is a good place to get cheap gear.after that its just maintenance and race fee's really.providing you dont drop it that is!.
