Re: 400
Welcome to the site
I personnaly love Yamaha's best but they dont have a nice selection of 400's. There is only really the FZR400 that you can class as sporty.
I love the RVF's but a road going one still fetches a hefty price tag. Then your left with the ZXR400 which do give engine trouble but you can get good ones and if ya look after them they should be fine.
You can get a GSXR400 which would be good enough, but i dont see to many around for sale these days.
The VFR's are a good bike but they to come with problems, The electrics are known to give bother and with an 18in back wheel buying tyres becomes expensive, Not to easy to pick up part worn ones.
any of these bikes will be good, and any of them could give bother. Just depends if ya get one thats been half looked after or not.

Can't beat the honda's for reliability. I'd go for a RVF had a few of these and never had any trouble from them. That single sided swing arm is class, esp for changing tires/ adjusting the chain. It has a designed by ELF badge on it, thats real motogp shit. You rairly loose any money selling it on. They keep their value really well for a reason!
