Finial checks Empty Finial checks

Post by dar5150 Tue Mar 02, 2010 2:17 pm

Finished off getting the bike ready for the track today. Have everything lock wired and checked etc. When I noticed that the chain is rubbing on the new exhaust sys I put on it over winter. It gets a bit better when I'm sitting on the bike. Might try and get a thinner 520 race chain and go a tooth or 2 down on the rear sproket. It has the origional 525 on it with a 44T on the back. Found the bike over reving mid corner a lot, so a tooth off the back will do no harm. Think this might help the clearance. Other than that she's running great, took it out around the estate and its flying! Tried putting up some pics but photobucket is not working at the moment.

Happy days. I'd say the neighbours just love you... Laughing
good to see everything is working fine. Bit of a bitch there with the chain but plenty of time to deal with the problem. Its always the little things that catch ya out.
I'd say we'll head out to that private road to do a bit of testing before the training day. just to make sure everything is in order. if ya ever want to go let us know.

I'll be on for that. Even funnier was me changing the oil and using the sump nut thats not drilled! what an idiot. No way of lock wiring it now. Going to try and swap it for the drilled one over the weekend. It should be a messy one.
